Our Story
A journey, travelling back in time…

Born from the dream of engineer Alessandro Novellone, Amisco has overcome difficult historical periods and  has transformed itself into a dynamic and constantly evolving reality. An  history of successes, changes and continuous improvements, which have made us what we are today.

1936

Engineer Alessandro Novellone founds Novaradio, specialised in the manufacture of radio receivers, and from the early 1950s in the production of televisions.

1958

The components department, which in the meantime had grown in importance, became an independent company under the name Amies (Special Electronic Industrial Mechanic Applications). The company is immediately successful and counts several IBM plants among its main customers.

1974

Production was moved to Cinisello Balsamo and the name became Amisco Avvolgimenti Elettrici. Engineer Novellone was joined by his children Donata, Cesare and some time later Alessandra.

1991-92

The plant is no longer sufficient for the company's development: most of the equipment is moved to a new, larger space, thus doubling the area dedicated to production. The logo is also changed to testify to this evolution.

Amisco is one of the first Italian companies to obtain ISO:9001 Quality System certification.

1998

The company moved to the Hedquarter in Paderno Dugnano, Via Piaggi. The same year Amisco celebrates forty years of production of electrical coils, solenoids and valves. Lean Factory concepts are applied in the new layout.

2001

The company expanded with the acquisition of two more buildings, at Via Nenni 5/7 and Via Piaggio 72, both used for production. Amisco now covers a total area of 8.000 square meters, 6.000 of them are covered.

2002

Amisco acquired the company Sali Abele s.r.l. in Castelleone, close to Crema, dedicated to the coils production.

2006

Amisco inaugurated its production plant in Shen Zhen, China, in June 2006, and start to produce its own coils for the Far East markets.

2010

Overcoming a 2009 full of difficulties due to the global crisis, Amisco launched a new three-year plan to meet the new challenges imposed by the international markets. As a guarantee of continuity, with the entry of the owners' children, the transition process to the third generation of the Novellone family continues.

2011

Amisco acquired Sacem, a Milan based company specialised in the assembly and control of pilot valves and solenoids.

2015

Amisco founded Amisco East, in Brno, Czech Republic, to produce coils for the Eastern European market.

2021

Amisco China transfres its headquarters in a new plant in Song Gang, Baoan, (one of the 9 districts of Shen Zhen), increasing the surface of the plant from 3.500 to 5.000 square meters.

2022

Amisco invests in a long-term sustainability project to reduce the environmental impact of the Company and its production processes.
